MISSION:
To create a Jeep off road competition club for safe, affordable and reliable Cherokee XJ models. The rules of the vehicle specification are to create equality and durability while keeping construction cost at a minimum.
EVENTS:
The club will select events that provide the excitement of both competition and adventure while attempting to keep cost at a minimum.
All competitors and vehicles will conform to the rules and safety regulations of event organizers and promoters. (i.e., Score International, Best in the Desert, Mojave Desert Racing).
VEHICLES:
The events are open to all Jeep Cherokees XJ series manufactured from 1984 to 2001 that comply with the JeepSpeed specification rules.
MEMBERSHIP:
The free annual membership includes a JeepSpeed electronic Newsletter, vehicle specification rules, eligibility to compete in club events and discounted rates on Team JeepSpeed accessories. (Entry fees are separate and payable to event organizers)
SPONSORS:
The club will attract sponsors to create a series prize fund in return for promoting the sponsor's products and services. Sponsor's products may be mandated into vehicle specification rules.
RACE SUPPORT:
The club will encourage members to support competitors at race events in the capacity of pit crews and chase vehicles.
