Currie® Performance Axles are
the original high-performance street axles. The difference is
in the heat treating. Currie® Performance Axles are induction
heat treated in state-of-the-art, computer controlled electric
induction heat treating machines. Induction heat treating is
very precise and controllable and allows us to harden the surface
of the shaft and harden the flange. There is only one advantage
to oven heat treating: it is very inexpensive. Currie® Performance
Axles are custom made to order from the largest selection of
pre-heat treated cores available from any manufacturer. That
means you will have your choice of wheel studs, bolt pattern,
brake space and spline count. Currie® Performance Axles
use O.E.M. axle bearings that are available anywhere. Unlike
many others, no special conversion bearings are used to adopt
universal fit axles into different housings.
