The Currie 44 axle assembly is a direct bolt-in solution that reduces the overall cost by enabling you to retain the complete stock JK outer knuckle assemblies (brakes, hubs, etc.) and stock wheel bolt pattern.

Currie 44 Features

Currie 44 high-pinion nodular iron center section features 14 lbs of reinforcement over a stock 44 with thicker walls and webbing to deliver superior strength and rigidity

Large 3 in. diameter x .5 in. wall axle tubes (left) are more than 2.5 times stronger than the stock tubes (right)

Currie heavy-duty forged inner knuckles (right) are massively stronger than the stock knuckles (left) and are designed for severe off-road use with up to 37” tall tires

Currie Performance 4340 chromoly axles with larger Rubicon 1350 u-joints provide superior end-to-end strength over OEM carbon steel axles. Black oxide coating helps protect from surface corrosion for improved durability

Lower control arm mounts are one-piece construction with integrated skid plates to help fend off bracket-seeking rocks

Included 1310 pinion flange allows the factory driveshaft to be used without modification

Rock-proof Currie nodular iron front cover protects expensive internals and adds structural support to the housing's face flange

Powder Coat   UV Stabel Satin black powder coat finish adds long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion to keep your Currie 44 looking its best

Notes

Computer Programming: 2012 and newer vehicles require a computer programmer, such as the AEV ProCal Module, to reset the gear ratio and tire height in the vehicle's computer for the proper function of the vehicles stability control and transmission shift points

Differential Carriers: The center section is designed to use standard Dana 44 carriers/lockers (ARB RD117 or Eaton ELocker 19977-010).

Outer Knuckle Assemblies: The Currie 44 is designed to reuse the complete stock JK outer knuckle assemblies from the ball joints out (knuckles, hubs, disk brake calipers, and rotors)

Overall Width: Axle width is 65.375 inches (stock JK width) between wheel mounting surfaces

Tire Size: Recommended maximum 37-inch tire size due to the inherent limitations of the stock brakes, wheel bearings, and axle u-joints
