PROP 65 WARNING:

The Extreme 60 high-pinion, full-floating rear axle for 1996 thru 2006 Jeep TJ Wrangler and LJ Unlimited, is a complete bolt-in axle assembly with all required brackets and mounts in place. The vehicles factory driveshaft will require modification or replacement to accommodate the larger 60 series housing and 1350 series u-joint.

  Extreme 60 high-pinion nodular iron center section is the strongest 60 series casting we offer, with heavier main caps, ARP® main bolts, with additional reinforcement in critical areas over the already strong Currie 60 center
     
Load Bolt   Integrated ring gear load bolt (top left) eliminates gear deflection, to dramatically increase torque handling capacity. The load bolt typically sits .002 inch from the ring gear and only touches when extremely high torque loads are applied
     
  The Extreme 60 high-pinion radius bottom center section delivers unmatched ground clearance, and improved obstacle slide-over by presenting a smooth curve rather than the sharp edge found on other 60 housings
     
  Replaceable AR400 hardened steel skid plate resists deformation and gouging to slide over obstacles far better than iron housings or mild steel plates
     
  Large diameter outer pinion bearing (right) is designed for the demands of reverse rotation/high pinion housings. Stock low pinion bearing (left)
     
  High volume flow-thru recirculating oil system keeps pinion bearings bathed in cool oil, reducing operating temperatures and eliminating oil starvation issues
     
  Large 3.5-inch diameter .375 wall axle tubes (left) are three times stronger than the stock JK Dana® 44 (right) without being overweight or sacrificing ground clearance
     
  Chromoly spindles and billet steel full-floating hubs carry the weight of the vehicle, eliminating the influence of side loading and impact shock on axle durability. Safety is improved as the wheel and brake remain in place and fully functional in the rare event of an axle failure
     
TJ 60VXR Rear Brakes   The included 12-inch Jeep JK Wrangler disc brake package provides the stopping power to tame large tires and provide balanced breaking when matched to one of our front axle assemblies

Notes

ABS Sensors - Does not include ABS sensors, the factory sensors from the stock axle must be retained and installed on the Currie housing

Width Options - 64-inches (+2.5) or 66-inches (+4.5) over stock TJ/LJ width, provides increased clearance for 35-inch or larger tires

Sway Bar - The factory TJ/LJ rear sway bar must be flipped side to side (installed upside down) to be used with a high-pinion Extreme 60. However, due to its design, the factory sway bar will interfere/limit the housings downward travel at full droop. If you wish to maximize downward travel and suspension flex, plus eliminate the need to run sway bar disconnects, a Rockjock Antirock sway bar is the best option

Wheel Bolt Pattern - The 5-lug bolt pattern is dual drilled with both 5 on 5 (stock JK) and 5 on 5 1/2 inches to match the Currie 60 and Extreme 60 front axle assemblies. Wheel studs are installed in the 5 on 5" pattern. The 6-lug bolt pattern is 6 on 5 1/2 inches

Disk Brakes - Includes stock OE style JK backing plates (with integrated parking brake), caliper mounting brackets, JK calipers and 12-inch diameter rotors (machined to clear the full-floating hub)
