The RockJock® 60VXR high pinion front crate axle is simply the strongest 60 series axle that we offer, designed for extreme off-road use with up to 40-inch tires and V8 conversion horsepower. The RockJock 60VXR is built to the legendary Currie Standard and loaded with exclusive features including: a stronger reinforced stage-2 radius bottom center section, ring gear load bolt, large 3.5-inch axle tubes plus much more. Upgraded Master Cylinder and Booster for Big Brakes

The RockJock® 60VXR high pinion crate axle for the 2007 and newer Jeep JK Wrangler, is a complete bolt-in axle assembly with all required brackets and mounts in place. The vehicles factory drive shaft will require modification or replacement to accommodate the larger 60 series housing and 1350 series u-joint.

  Ring gear load bolt (top left) eliminates gear deflection, to dramatically increase torque handling capacity. The load bolt typically sits .002 inch from the ring gear, and only touches when the gear begins to deflect under high torque loads
     
  RockJock 60VXR high-pinion radius bottom center section delivers unmatched ground clearance, and improved obstacle slide-over by presenting a smooth curve rather than the sharp edge found on other 60 housings
     
  Replaceable AR400 hardened steel skid plate resists deformation and gouging to slide over obstacles far better than iron housings or mild steel plates
     
  Large diameter outer pinion bearing (right) is designed for the demands of reverse rotation/high pinion housings. Stock low pinion bearing (left)
     
  High volume flow-thru recirculating oil system keeps pinion bearings bathed in cool oil, reducing operating temperatures and eliminating oil starvation issues

ABS Sensors - The factory ABS sensors from the vehicle are retained and installed on the RockJock 60

Computer Programming: 2012 and newer vehicles require a computer programmer, such as the AEV ProCal Module to reset the gear ratio and tire height in the vehicle's computer for proper function of the vehicles stability control and transmission shift points

Brake Upgrade: The big brake kit included with the VXR60 uses 13.25-inch rotors with dual-piston calipers to provide the stopping power required for 37-inch and larger tires. In order for the larger calipers to function properly the stock booster and master cylinder must be upgraded, which is why every RockJock 60VXR web purchase includes a JK master cylinder and booster upgrade.

Wheel and Tire Size: 17-inch of larger wheels are required for proper clearance of the brake calipers. Maximum recommended tire size is 40"

Wheel Bolt Pattern: Requires wheels with 5 on 5 1/2"

Wheel Studs: Includes 1/2 inch wheel studs

Overall Width: Axle width is 70 inches (+4.6 inches over stock) between wheel mounting surfaces. Additional width improves turning angle with 37 inch and larger tires

Steering Stabilizer: Ram assist brackets are not compatible with and exclude the use of conventional steering stabilizers

Differential Carriers: Carriers provided by Currie for the 60VXR, are turned down to 8.300" O.D. for load bolt clearance. If a standard O.D. carrier is installed the load bolt will need to be backed out to prevent damage
