The RockJock® 70 high pinion axle for the 2007 and newer Jeep JK Wrangler, is a complete bolt-in axle assembly with all required brackets and mounts in place. The vehicles factory driveshaft will require modification or replacement to accommodate the larger 70 series housing and 1350 series u-joint.

Built to the legendary Currie Standard with exclusive features including:

RockJock 70 Center   RockJock 70 high-pinion nodular iron center section is the strongest casting we offer, with heavy main caps, ARP® main bolts and thicker walls and webbing in critical areas

Load Bolt   Ring gear load bolt (top left) eliminates gear deflection, to dramatically increase torque handling capacity. The load bolt typically sits .002 inch from the ring gear and only touches when extremely high torque loads are applied

Currie's competition-grade RockJock 70 gears (left) are cut from super tough 9310 alloy, and then custom heat-treated to a precise hardness, creating gears that can stand up to both the high shock loads of extreme off-road use and the wear of high mileage street use. Standard Dana® 60 gear (right)

Rockjock 70 35-spline pinion   Massive custom 35-spline pinion shaft (right), provides increased strength and reliability over the standard 29-spline unit (left)

RockJock Radius Bottom   The RockJock 70 high-pinion radius bottom center section delivers unmatched ground clearance, and improved obstacle slide-over by presenting a smooth curve rather than the sharp edge found on other axles

RockJock AR400 Skid Plate   Replaceable AR400 hardened steel skid plate resists deformation and gouging to slide over obstacles far better than iron housings or mild steel plates

RockJock Pinion Bearing   Large diameter outer pinion bearing (right) is designed for the demands of reverse rotation/high pinion housings. Stock low pinion bearing (left)

RockJock Pinion Oiling   High volume flow-thru recirculating oil system keeps pinion bearings bathed in cool oil, reducing operating temperatures and eliminating oil starvation issues

RockJock 3.5 inch tubes   Large 3.5-inch diameter .375 wall axle tubes (left) are three times stronger than the stock JK Dana® 44 (right) without being overweight or sacrificing ground clearance

Currie 1-ton jnuckle   Massive forged 1-ton inner knuckles (right) are designed to stand up to the severe punishment of larger tires without flinching

RockJock upper control arm Johnny Joint   Upper control arm mounts feature rebuildable Johnny Joints® for maximum suspension articulation with unsurpassed durability

RockJock nodular iron cover   Super tough RockJock nodular iron front cover protects expensive internals, adds structural support to the housing's face flange and locates the driver’s side upper control arm mount

RockJock Big Brake   Big 13-inch diameter vented rotors provide a significant performance upgrade over stock, with the leverage required to stop oversized tires and wheels, on-road or off

RockJock dual piston caliper   Large dual piston calipers complete the RockJock 70's big brake package and provide the extra byte needed to haul down heavily loaded vehicles

Booster and Master   Upgraded master cylinder and booster (included with web orders) are volume matched to the larger calipers for optimum brake performance

Lower control arm mounts are one-piece construction with integrated skid plates to help fend off bracket seeking rocks

Notes

ABS Sensors - Does not include ABS sensors, the factory sensors from the stock axle must be retained and installed on the RockJock housing

Computer Programming - 2012 and newer vehicles require a computer programmer, such as the AEV ProCal Module to reset the gear ratio and tire height in the vehicle's computer for proper function of the vehicles stability control and transmission shift points

Big Brakes - Includes larger dual-piston calipers to provide the stopping performance required for large tires. For the larger calipers to function, the stock booster and master cylinder must be upgraded, which is why every RockJock 70 web purchase includes a JK master cylinder and booster upgrade.

Wheel and Tire Size - Requires 17-inch or larger wheels for proper brake caliper clearance. Maximum recommended tire size is 40-inches

Wheel Bolt Pattern - Requires wheels with either 5 on 5 1/2" or 6 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern based on the option selected

Stud Size - 1/2 inch studs are used for both 5 and 6 lug options

Overall Width - Axle width options include 68.750, 72 or 74-inches wide between wheel mounting surfaces. Additional width improves turning angle with 37-inch and larger tires

Steering Stabilizer - Ram assist brackets are not compatible with and exclude the use of conventional steering stabilizers
