Cut-To-Fit Axles feature 4-inches of spline length, up to 3-inches of spline length can be removed to achieve the desired length
If you don't have an existing axle to measure for length, refer to the diagrams below and measure as indicated.
All dimensions should be accurate to 1/16 of an inch to ensure a proper fit.
For the "X" dimension (Driver's side axle), hook the tape measure on the stud (as shown) and measure to the outside edge of the end flange, then add 5 5/8 inches to find the overall axle length.
For the "Y" dimension (Passenger's side axle), hook the tape measure on the stud (as shown) and measure to the outside edge of the end flange, then add 8 1/4 inches to find the overall axle length.
Use the image and dimensions below to identify your housing end type. Measure the brake space (BS) to verify axle fitment as Ford used several different brake space dimensions during production runs. If your housing end and brake space dimensions do not match the sizes shown, please call, as we have many axle options.
Brake Space (BS) is the distance from the face of the housing end to the face of the axle; this is a critical dimension for proper axle and brake fitment. If your housing end type and brake space dimensions do not match the options below, please contact sales to speak with one of our experts.
